Will and I flew to Seattle to visit Aunt Michelle and Cousin Jakob.  We had a fun time.  Our highlights were taking a bath (our first time sharing a tub), a trip to the zoo, getting Will's haircut at Jakob's barber, going to soccer, playing in the sprinkler and playing at the park.  Once again we were fortunate with great weather and great family moments.

Snake Attack

When the child gates are up it is zoo time in the Dienhart house.  Louis and Will are the zoo keepers.  On this day a snake got out and attacked Daddy.  Louis has a great imagination.

Bath time

Will loves bath time.  You can't see Louis in the picture but Will is laughing at him.  He loves his big brother.  Will also loves to put the letter J in his mouth.  Every time we take a bath he treats it like a cigar.  Normally the curved part of the j is in his mouth.  I barely have time to take pictures these days. He is getting wiggly and wants to move around a lot so he slips more.  I'm always on watch to grab him.

I'm 1 year old? When did that happen?

Time for bed Birthday Boy!

I can't believe a year has gone by.  Time really does fly.  We have had a fun year with our newest little man.  We are blessed to have a mellow dude who sleeps well and smiles alot.  How lucky are we?  Over the last year he has traveled to 6 states, been on an airplane 4 times, had his haircut (by his mom) 4 times, grown 7 teeth, learned to crawl and most recently figured out clapping.  He claps all day long now.  In the morning if music isn't playing on the radio he makes sure I know.  I turn to music and he starts clapping.

We had a fun birthday celebration for Will on his actual birthday on Sunday, August 4th.  Grandma and Grandpa Schrader and a house full of friends helped sing him happy birthday and spoil him with more presents than a 1 year old should have.  His first gift came in the mail from Grandma and Papa Dienhart but we waited to open it on his actual birthday.  He loved the tissue paper and the cards.  By far his favorite gift was the barn mega blocks that he opened from Mary and Ron.  When Grandma took it to take it out of the box Will growled and shook his fists then crawled over to it.  Funny man.  he still loves it.  He pulls it out everyday.  Most likely the little farmer will drown in drool before the week is up.
