Fine Art by Louis

Louis came home from school with some great art this year.  Here are a few of my favorites.  I think he is incredibly talented and I won't be surprised if he ends up with a creative career in the future.

RIP

The last working moments of a well loved and used camera.  Guess who found the old camera in my purse and decided to take some video? And moments later it was put out to pasture.

Gray Wing

Doug and I hate the dead branch in our back yard tree until tonight.  I saw something big move outside the window.  I looked up to see a huge gray owl sitting on the branch.  We all sat and admired him.  Doug has been hearing him for weeks.  Now we have a pet owl...sorta.

Testing out rockers.

My old men.

Happy Bather

The only thing more fun than getting dirty, it getting all washed up.

brusha brusha

Will is not our baby anymore.  He loves his new stool.
He can grab his toothbrush and turn the water on all by himself now.  He loves it.

Art of the Car

Over the weekend we went to my old campus KCAI for the Art of the Car fundraiser.  It is an invite only car show with the most amazing classic cars.  Ron was invited so we went down to see Ron and Mary.  Their car is the ivory car behind us.  I'm so bad...I don't remember what make or model.

squirt gun

Grandma and Grandpa's house is super fun.  They have squirt guns!  He doesn't quite have the technique down yet.  He usually accidentally squirts his own face.

Breakfast at the zoo.

Will has been to the zoo dozens of times since he was 2 weeks old.  We even visited the penguins in March, but this visit was the first time Will realized there were animals to see. He pointed and shook with excitement at each viewing area.  He would refuse to leave.  He would reach out and grab onto the fence and not let go.  The weather was perfect and all of the animals were active and happy walking around.  We even saw the young penguins get their breakfast.

Football...

Mini and Rob gave us another huge batch of toys.  Here Will is trying to learn soccer.  He doesn't have it down yet.  We keep trying to get him to not use his hands.

Memorial Weekend Part 4b - Family Fun

We had a fun visit with family too.  Of course my camera was left at home in a jacket pocket.  I tried to take a few cell phone pictures.  I will add them in the future.

Place Holder for more picts.

Memorial Weekend Part 5 - Park Adventures

We spent three nights with the Schattless Family.  Alden, Amelia, and Louis are all the same age.  They spent hours playing with hex bugs and playing at the park.  I finally remembered to take some photos on the last day.  Clearly someone should have told the giant kid in the photos that he was too big for the slides.  Inside he was 7.

Our wonderful hosts sent us home with presents for the car ride home.  We are so lucky to have such great friends!!
