Memorial Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

Doug and I had our first date night in a year thanks to Grandma and Grandpa.
We had a great meal at Bonefish Grill and then went to a movie.

a morning at the zoo...

We started off the day at Ray's donuts.
This is not the first time Will watched Daddy stuff his face with sugar...
and it won't be the last.  : )

We saw both polar bears...Nikita and Berlin.
I've heard they may have a love connection.  Polar love!

It is a challenge to get both boys to look and smile in the same photo.
Someday pigs will fly and I will get the perfect photo.

Buddha Time

Will did really well on the train ride.  When we went through the long black tunnel
Doug could feel his heart racing and he kicked his legs.  No crying but certainly concerned.
I should have had the camera ready for the look he gave us when we were done.

Will was exhausted and opted for a nap.

I thought I should prove there were some animals at the zoo.

cheese

Will likes to smile at the camera
then lunge for it so he can try to put it in his mouth.

Happy Mother's Day

flowers from Michelle and Jakob

My boys!
flowers and cards from all of my boys
I had a fun morning.  Michelle and Jakob sent me a beautiful tulip bouquet and cards.  Doug and the boys picked out sweet cards and beautiful lilies and a rose bouquet.  We had a beautiful day for our volleyball make-up game.  Happy Mother's Day.  Thanks to everyone for all of the cards and wishes!

Warning...kids at play

We've had some great weather days. When we can, we walk the block to his grade school.  Louis showed us how he could move himself down the bar on the school playground.  He is super strong and full of energy.

My feet made it into a picture...finally proof that I was there.  : )

I have a new trick

Will has figured out that he can turn his tongue vertically.  For days now he spends half his waking hrs practicing.  I think he takes after his Aunt Michelle.  She can double roll her tongue.  I have no such talents!

Brotherly Love

The boys had a fun night playing together.  Louis is really great at helping Will learn how to use his new toys.  Will prefers to eat and or throw them.  : )

I gotta wear shades!

Who is ready to party?
Doug and I are already worried about this one.  He looks like he is ready to rock.

First Ice Cream

Will took his first taste of ice cream at Lara's 4th birthday party.  I think he liked it but the cold bothered him.  He doesn't like anything that is cold.

Grandma and Papa -Visit to KC

Grandma Carol and Papa visited us in our new house in April. Everyone had a great visit.  They spoiled all of us.  I misplaced my camera on the second day.  I tried to take a few photos with my phone.  I should have gotten a picture of Doug with his new grill.  Thank you Rick and Carol.  Doug is now the official chef!

Will in his outfit from Florida.   I think this was a gift from Aunt Kerri.

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

almost twins

Marcia at work saw a picture of Will in his helmet.  She saw this cute bear with a hat and thought of him.  We were washing his helmet when I got a chance to snap a picture.  I think he and the bear have the same smile.  : )  Thanks Marcia!

poultry isn't save in this house

Grandma and Papa bought Will a new stacking toy with a bird design.
He couldn't resist the bird's beak.

dreaming of escape

We often find Will like this in the mornings.
He likes to roll over and sleep on his side or tummy now.
