Happy Birthday

I enjoyed a fun 39th birthday.  It was great to celebrate it with family and friends.  Doug surprised me with flowers and my mom made me a cake.  (First year she didn't have to mail it from North Dakota!)  Doug and I went out to eat with friends at my favorite restaurant and then we went out for drinks.  Cheers!

Let's eat

Louis set up a restaurant table in the family room last month.  Notice Will talking on his cell phone before the meal came.  I wonder where he learned that.

my own chair

My parents sent us home with one of our old rocking chairs for Will.  He loves having his own chair.  He likes to grab a book and read to himself.  In the bottom picture I am sitting in the same chair.  He also happens to be reading one of my books from when I was a kid...published by Hallmark.  : )

Penguins

We finally visited the zoo in March to see the penguins.  It is a great new exhibit.  We had great views of them outside and inside.  I also decided to take Will on the sky tram over Africa.  He was great and I was calm on the outside but inside my momma bear protective instinct kicked in and I wished we hadn't done it.  We walked back.  Will wanted to do everything Louis did.  If Louis spun, Will would stop walking and try to turn himself around. 

Last Basketball Game

Louis played his last basketball game of the season this morning.  He had a great team and a great coach.  After the game they went out for pizza and each player received an award.  It was fun to watch the kids.  Next up, gymnastics!

Happy Anniversary

Will and I visited Grandma and Grandpa last weekend and gave them an early Anniversary gift from all of their kids and grandkids.  We had a fun time as always.  Will loved playing with Grandpa's ball on his sling.  He also sat in his own mini rocking chair.  It was Heather's when she was little.
